Rwanda Gateway ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you browse our website or contact us about relocation, property, rentals, vehicles or experiences in Rwanda, and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Information you give us — your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number and the details of your enquiry when you submit a contact form, booking request or newsletter signup.
- Usage information — anonymous statistics about which pages are visited, the approximate country of the visit and the referring site. This is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally.
How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiries and prepare proposals or quotations.
- To arrange viewings, bookings, transport and other services you request.
- To send you our Insider Guide and occasional updates, if you opted in.
- To understand which content is useful and improve the website.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising profiling.
Sharing with others
We share your details only where it is necessary to deliver a service you asked for — for example with a property owner, landlord, car supplier, guide or partner arranging your booking. We may also share information where the law requires it.
We use trusted service providers to host the website, store our database and deliver email. They process data on our instructions only.
Keeping your information safe
Data is stored on secured, access-controlled servers. Access to enquiry and subscriber records is limited to authorised Rwanda Gateway staff. The website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for as long as needed to serve you and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, then delete them. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your choices
- You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you.
- You can ask us to correct or delete your information.
- You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time.
Cookies and local storage
We use a small amount of browser storage to remember your language choice and whether you dismissed our chat prompt. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Children
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page always shows the latest version.
